A few reviews from people who have stayed at our accommodation
Family of 4 stayed in Amberwood 26 for 4 nights. The lodge we stayed in was perfect, lovely Jacuzzi bath and amazing walk in en suite shower! We did feel the cleaning was not up to standard (e.g. washing machine was dirty) but when we approached the site management they were more than happy to come and sort the problem out. They were both very approachable and nothing was to much trouble. Exactly how a site should be run.
The facilities looked a little tired but we knew it was early in the season. The indoor swimming pool was fantastic. We cannot comment on the food at the site as we didn't sample it.
The location of these lodges were perfect as there is plenty to do around the area.
Would recommend and we will definitely be coming back.
I went here with my university on a trip and absolutely enjoyed my stay. They were very accommodating, the lodges were clean, they were very happy to be around to help if we needed anything. The atmosphere was great and they did a really good job.
I know a few of my course mates are looking to come back and stay another time so I believe everyone was happy with our stay. Thank you so much for our stay! :)
Only downside was that some of the lodges couldn't access the wifi, however this worked in the wifi hut and down in the restaurant and bar. This shouldn't put you off though as it allows you to enjoy the scenery and every lodge has a TV in. I believe this issue is working on being resolved though.
A fantastic place to hold a wedding reception. The location is perfect with sea views and woodland scenery. We stayed overnight in the wedding suite which has fantastic facilities such as an indoor pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, bar, pool table,gardens.....all at an affordable price. The staff are extremely willing in helping to organise the day exactly how it should be and the food was also amazing. Our family was able to also stay over in the tremendous lodges which are clean, warm and spacious. The whole atmosphere of the place is friendly and intimate with Truly a wonderful couple of days which we shall cherish for the rest of our lives.
I recently stayed here for a week with a large group and had a brilliant time.
I stayed in one of the Linden lodges. It was nice and spacious with all the amenities you could possibly need (washing machine, dishwasher, iron, cooker, tv, etc).
The bar/reception area is large, has a small shop to buy essentials, pool tables, WiFi and tv's. The food served in the bar was lovely and reasonable priced. I never used the indoor pool/spa, but was told it was nice and clean.
All the staff were very friendly, but I have to give special recognition to Gill. Such a lovely lady and was the perfect host. Thank you.
If I had to be picky and find a fault (as we all know tripadvisor loves negativity), it would be the lack of Wifi in the lodge I was in. I didn't receive 4G in there either, but I can't really blame the owners for that (I'll send a strongly worded email to the CEO of EE instead). I have read the Wifi is being sorted, but they do have a Wifi 'hub' and its available in the bar/reception too, so no big deal.
Overall, I would personally recommend staying here and will do myself when I'm in the area again.
